VIIY vs Pandoras Box

What you give up when you pay a tenth. And what you do not.

Pandoras Box has been a corporate-show and installation workhorse for twenty years, first under coolux, then Christie, and since October 2025 under twoloox. Version 10 bundles the media server, the Widget Designer show-control platform and a CMS into one Infinity Suite on one dongle. It is a bigger system than VIIY in almost every direction. The question is whether your shows need that direction.

Facts about Pandoras Box were read on twoloox.de (Infinity Suite V10 page and its complete feature list) on 4 September 2026.

Which one

Pick by who is paying and who is operating

Choose Pandoras Box when

An integrator builds it

Fixed installations, theme parks, 3D-mapped stages, Notch content, Dante audio, several operators on one project. The dongle and the dealer come with an engineer.

Choose VIIY when

You are the operator and the buyer

Theatre, corporate, concerts and LED walls where one person programs, runs and owns the software. A backup machine is in the price. The lighting console sends MVR and gets pixels back.

Honest caveat

Not a Pandoras replacement

If your brief says 3D, Notch or Dante, it is not a VIIY job. If it says cues, timecode and screens, try the demo before you rent a server.
