VIIY ("VIIY", "we", "us") is a media-server application you install and run on your own Windows computer. Your projects, media and show files stay on your machine — VIIY does not upload them. This policy explains the limited data we do handle.
The data controller is Vitalii Pravdin, sole proprietor (FOP), [registered address, Ukraine]. Contact: support@viiy.tech.
When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and a Machine ID to our activation service (license.viiy.tech, hosted on Cloudflare). The Machine ID is a one-way hash (SHA-256) derived from your Windows installation identifier and your system drive's volume serial. It cannot be reversed into those values. We store the key-to-machine binding and activation timestamps so a license can be bound to your computer and validated. We do not receive your name, media or project contents through activation.
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record (for example LemonSqueezy or Paddle). They collect and process your payment and billing details under their own privacy policy; we do not see or store full card data. We receive your email address and order details to deliver your license key and provide support.
Downloading either product requires a free account on viiy.tech. When you create one we store: your name and email address; your password as a one-way PBKDF2-SHA-256 hash (never in readable form); the role you pick and, if you fill them in, your company, what you run shows on today and what would stop you from switching — those three are optional and the account works without them; the country your request came from, as reported by our host; the dates your account was created and last signed in; and how many times you downloaded each product. We use this to run your account, to know who the product is being built for, and to answer you.
Signing in sets one cookie, viiy_sess — a random session token, HttpOnly, valid for 180 days. It exists only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies on this site, and no third-party tracking scripts on any page.
If you send us feedback or a question through the site, we store your message, the name you gave and, if you provided it, your email address, so we can answer and — with our answer — publish the useful ones. The public Q&A page never shows email addresses. If you choose to attach a log file, it is stored privately (Cloudflare R2), is never published, and is readable only by us.
To stop automated sign-ups and brute-force attempts we store a salted one-way hash of your IP address together with the kind of action (registration or failed sign-in). We do not store the address itself, the hash is not reversible, and these rows are deleted automatically after one day.
The registration form has a separate, unticked checkbox for VIIY product news and release updates. Leaving it unticked does not affect your download in any way. If you tick it we record that consent and the moment you gave it, and you can withdraw it at any time — every email carries an unsubscribe link, or write to support@viiy.tech. Without that tick we use your email only to run your account, for security, and to reply to you — not for a newsletter.
If you email us, we keep that correspondence to answer you and improve the product.
The AI features are off by default and require you to supply your own AI-provider API key. If you use them, the materials you choose to send (stage plans, timecode sheets, text and chat) are transmitted to that third-party AI provider (Anthropic) under your own account and their terms, to generate your setup. VIIY does not route or store these on our servers. Please do not upload material you are not permitted to share.
VIIY does not track how you use the application and does not "phone home" beyond the license activation described above. We never sell, rent or trade your data, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or any third party for their own purposes. The only companies that touch it are the service providers we need to run the product, listed below, and they act on our instructions. The website carries no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
License and order records are kept for the life of the license and as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting obligations. Account data is kept while the account exists — ask us and we will delete it. The hashes used for abuse prevention are deleted automatically after one day. Feedback and the log files attached to it are kept while they are useful for support and for fixing what they report. Support emails are kept as long as needed to assist you.
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the product — our website, account and activation host (Cloudflare, including its D1 database and R2 storage), our payment provider, and, if you enable it, your chosen AI provider. These providers may process data in countries outside your own. Nobody else receives it.
Subject to your local law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@viiy.tech. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.
VIIY is a professional tool and is not directed to children.
